Well, it looks like I had the full intention of starting our family blog last summer before our 1st wedding anniversary. Life got in the way and I am just now getting back to updating. Since I last posted we found out we were expecting a little one come July 4th, 2012. We are absolutely ecstatic about expanding our family. After a rough year with two miscarriages, we are more than ready to welcome our soon to be son or daughter into our world. Below are pictures and video taken since we found out we are expecting. We told the special people in our lives in a variety of ways.....we gave our parents a picture of me holding an iPad that said "Happy 4th of July", Cade and Belle got to open a Christmas present early that had two Cubs t-shirts and a Cubs onesie inside and our friends were sent a video of our nephew Wyatt spreading the news! Each way of sharing with our family and friends was a hit. We have chosen to be surprised about the sex of Baby Brown and are currently over 1/2 way through the pregnancy. When I think about it, it has both gone by fast and slow. To think I am over 1/2 way seems crazy, but when I remember I've been pregnant since the end of October makes me feel like it's been an eternity. Either way, I am enjoying every minute and couldn't be happier!

Notre Dame Game vs USC
Matt and I went to tailgate with Keith and Jill and Chad and Cheri for the Notre Dame vs USC football game one Saturday in October. We drove up early Saturday morning and met at Keith and Jill's house. We were excited to hang out with Matt's college friends and get to see the chaos that is this insane tailgate. After several house of fun, sun, friends, good food and drinks, we headed back to the O'Connells to watch the game. Notre Dame ended up losing, but that of course didn't really bother us being Purdue fans =).

Fall Break 2011
Matt and I love to take road trips as often as we can. We went to Washington D.C. over our fall break in 2010 and this year went to Mammoth Cave National Park and got to take Cade and Belle. We enjoyed going through the caves two different days and hearing the history behind how the caves were formed and discovered. One thing that was interesting was that no matter what time of year, the cave temperature stays exactly the same. Needless to say it was cold and rainy outside and when we were in the cave we were nice and comfortable!
